Houston Texans Give Fans a Momentary Shot of Hope

After a strong start--one that began to give fans in Houston reason to believe the team could make some noise this season--the Texans are perched dangerously on the precipice of disaster. At 4-5 they are not out of the running for postseason play by any means, but the window of opportunity is closing.

Something had to be done to keep it from shutting even more.

Something was done. The  team has announced that Ryan Mallett will get the nod at quarterback when the team faces off with Cleveland following the bye.In spite of his inexperience it seems the experience the team has had with Ryan Fitzpatrick is done.

The defense has kept the Texans in many games, but the offenses inability to do much has made it difficult to win games Should Mallett be able to get the ball moving the Texans could make some real noise .
