Michigan State WR Tony Lippett Making History Saturday Against Penn State?

The Spartans have a pretty good wide receiver in senior Tony Lippett. He's caught more passes this season than last (56 this season; 44 last) and surpassed his yardage total from the last two (1071 this season; 1005 combined in '13 and '12). With the season and his time at Michigan State winding down the team has decided to get all they can out of him.

So they are going to start him on defense as well as offense Saturday.

If they do so they will end up making a little history along the way:

The obvious concern here is with fatigue his play on both sides of the ball is going to suffer./He has played some defense this season and there is no telling how much he will actually be used in the secondary. Head coach Mark Dantonio feels like he is up to the task though:
"...[Back during his Ohio State days] We were using Chris Gamble on both sides of the ball and he was playing over 100 plays in three straight games. So I mean, it was pretty amazing what he was able to accomplish. That was because we pushed the issue there, and I think issue can be pushed at if you have the right person with the right mentality. I think Lippett has that mentality."
Hopefully you are right Coach.
