Indianapolis Colts and Adam Vinatieri Looking to Make History Sunday Against the Tennessee Titans

Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans means nothing for the Indianapolis Colts. They can't gain anything from winning. They can't improve their playoff position. Yeah, maybe it will give fans a little more confidence in the team after last week's drubbing at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys, but who really cares? It's over.

That being said, if they do what they should be able to do there is a chance the team and kicker Adam Vinatieri could make history if they win.

Vinatieri stands to become only the fourth player in NFL history to go through an entire regular season without missing a single kick. So far he has 28 field goal attempts and 47 extra point attempts to his name without a miss. Not bad for a 19-year veteran, right?

He could set his record win or lose, but the team record is contingent on a win. Should the Colts get back on track and handle the Titans the way they should they will become the only team in NFL history to sweep the division in two consecutive seasons.

Then again, the AFC South is horrible so the surprise should not be that they are looking to be the first to do it, but that no one else ever has.
