J.J. Watt for Governor? Senator? Maybe...But Not Yet

Football players tend to be pretty popular games when they are at the top of their game. It's pretty safe to say that Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is at the top of his right now. Popularity like his can lead to many things for guys. You know--stuff like endorsement deals and appearance fees along with a killer contract as long as the reason for the popularity maintains.

But how about political office?

A recent article posted on a Houston-area news site about the November elections talked about the number of write-in candidates that showed up on ballots. Included along with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, George Strait, and Elvis was the Texans lineman.

When asked what he thought about getting three votes for the senate and seven for governor Watt said:
"My schedule's a little full right now. "I don't think I can do it."
Hmmm...Sounds like he might be willing if his schedule gets a little less full. He didn't say he wouldn't be interested...
