So it Appears the Problem With Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel is His Name

Whenever a rookie has a bad game everyone with a soapbox to stand on voices their opinion on why whoever it is failed. In the case of Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel that was certainly the case. Some blamed his size. Others blamed his maturity while others said it was just an overall lack of talent on Johnny's part as well as the rest of the offense.

There were all sorts of opinions, but there was one guy that hit the nail on the head. He saw through the stats and figured out exactly what the problem with Manziel's game was.

His name.

It would be nice to say that this guy was drinking when he offered up this critique of Manziel, but there is no reason to believe that is the case. He actually defended it later and pointed out the fact that no quarterback named 'Jimmy' or 'Tommy' or 'Billy' had won the big one.

You know--because names are an indicator of gridiron success. He of course forgot about good ole Johnny Unitas.

Hmmm...since Johnny U won the Super Bowl then the name 'Johnny' must be good and Jimmy, Tommy, and Billy bad.

So Johnny Football must be destined for glory  (this guy is a genius).
