Seton Hall's Sterling Gibbs Apologizes on Twitter for Hitting Villanova Player in the Face During Monday Night's Game [VIDEO]

Seton Hall may have to do without junior guard Sterling Gibbs for a few games after his actions in Monday night's game against Villanova. For some reason he decided to take a swipe at Villanova's Ryan Arcidiacono while the two went after a loose ball.

As you can see in the video he was not trying to dislodge the ball and can't even make the argument. He simply pounded him in the face.

He was ejected and afterwards did pretty much the only thing he could do afterwards and apologized:

Sounds pretty sincere to me, but for some reason his tweets tell some people that his actions were intentional and not heat of the moment:

Yeah, there is no excuse for what he did, but I don't see how anything can be read in to his tweets other than he's sorry for what he did. Villanova went on to win the game 80-54.
