Dallas Cowboys Losing Out on DeMarco Murray and Adrian Peterson?

The Dallas Cowboys found something last season that they had been missing for sometime--a consistent running game courtesy of a solid offensive line and running back DeMarco Murray. If they are going to have that running game next season the team has been expected to do one of two things-- resign DeMarco Murray or trade for Adrian Peterson.

However, according to the rumor mill that is the World Wide Web the Cowboys could very well lose out on both players.

There has been plenty of talk about how Murray wants to stay in Dallas. That he wants to win a Super Bowl and could even be willing to take a hometown discount. However, the Cowboys only have so much room under the salary cap and can only offer so much. The Jacksonville Jaguars have a ton of room under the cap and have pledged to make use of it this off-season to buy some players.

Rumor has it they are talking with Murray's agent about a deal.

No big deal, right? Adrian Peterson wants to come to town anyway so the Cowboys were going to have to let him go. Or is he....

Rumor has it that the Cardinals are in fact AP's No. 1 choice and that the Cardinals restructured Carson Palmer's contract and cut Darnell Dockett in order to make room for AP's contract.

Should this be the case it will become clear what the Cowboys are going to target with their first round pick, a running back.
