Devin McCourty Lobbying Darrelle Revis to Return to the New England Patriots

Football is a team sport that requires 11 guys to play the best game they can play together so that not only do they look good, but the guys around them look good too. It does not matter how good a player is if he is stuck on a unit with nothing but scrubs. If everyone around him sucks it is kind of hard for him to look good.

Devin McCourty is aware of this so now that he has resigned with the New England Patriots he is hoping that he can talk someone else into coming back as well--fellow defensive back Darrelle Revis.

After agreeing to a five-year, $47.5 million deal McCourty has turned his attention to making sure he has one of the best defensive backs in the game in the Patriots secondary with him:

Rumor has Revis either going back to the Jets or sticking with the Patriots. With free agency officially starting Tuesday fans will likely not have to wait long to find out which team he is going to go with.
