Many think Ryan Mallett could be the guy, but there are rumors that the Texans could be looking to soon to be former Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer.

Yes, sports fans it is true, but it gets better. When word first started to spread around the internet of Houston's interest in Hoyer most assumed the Texans front office had changed its mind about bring back Ryan Mallett. As it turns out that is not the case at all.
The team wants both of them.
Texans would like to have Mallett and Hoyer, who spent 3 years with OBrien at New England.

Both spent time with Bill O'Brien in New England so the familiarity with him and his system could have a lot to do with the possibility of bringing them both in. As good as Mallett did look when he played, he didn't play much. Hoyer, on the other hand, has played a lot. Just with a bad team.
Maybe with a good offensive line, a running game, and talent to throw to Hoyer can become the guy.
The good thing about this whole mess is that with free agency starting on Tuesday we may not have to wait long to find out what the team is going to do.
