New England Patriots Cut Lose Defensive Lineman Vince Wilfork

In the NFL players are supposed to play their best in order to help their team win and so they can be paid more, but with all the recent cuts that teams have been announcing lately it almost seems as if playing too good and getting paid appropriately is bad for one's career. Just ask former New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork.

The big man was cut loose by the Patriots so the team could save $8 million against the salary cap.

How do we know this? Because Vince took to Twitter in order to let the fans know that the team has let him go:

To be fair, he could still come back so he may not be done yet. It is entirely possible that the Patriots resign him for less. If they don't, he sounds like he wants to keep playing. With his resume someone will give him that chance.
