Darnell Dockett Signs With the San Francisco 49ers

NFL teams know that when they decide to cut a player with hopes that he wants to come back at a lower price that he may not come back. Should that happen they hope that if he does go somewhere else that it is out of their division so that they do not have to play against him.

The Arizona Cardinals rolled the dice recently when they cut Darnell Dockett because they didn't like his $6.8 million salary cap hit.

They hoped to get him back and made him a low ball offer to come back. He has declined it and opted to go to the San Francisco 49ers instead.

He signed a two year deal worth $7.5 million with $2 million guaranteed and $4 million coming this season. Not bad Darnell. Not bad at all.
