The life of an NFL quarterback is dangerous just by the nature of the job. On any given play there are a lot of big, strong, angry men that want nothing more than to pound you in to the dirt. If you happen to be a running quarterback they get even more chances to do just that. The game alone has to keep guardian angels busy, but Cam Newton's has had to do overtime with the car accident in December and now a club shooting.
Over the weekend it appears that Newton was hanging on stage at a club in Charlotte, Label, when shots were fired.
According to reports, unidentified suspects fired several shots inside the club hitting two individuals (that are expected to recover). No one has been arrested yet.
No reports have said how close Newton was to the victims that were shot so there is no telling how much danger if any he was actually in. Although, he should have been arrested by the fashion police for that shirt.
Dude, that thing is hideous.
