Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger on Track to Set a Record He Doesn't Want

Big Ben Roethlsiberger has had a heck of a career during his years in Pittsburgh and is likely in for more great things before he is done. He already holds a few records and will likely hold a few more by time he is ready to call it a career. There is one mark, however, that he is on track to break that he would rather not.

At the rate he is going he could very well steal a record from Brett Favre before he retires.

Favre currently holds the record for number of career sacks with 525 over his 20 year career. Big Ben has been whacked 419 times during his 11 years. With the new contract extension he signed during the off-season he should be under center for the Steelers through the 2019 season.

If the offensive line can keep him from being sacked more than 21 times a season for the next five years there is a chance he will not break it, but the chances of that are not very good.

Over the last four seasons he has averaged 38 sacks a season putting the record breaking sack coming during the second month of the 2018 season.
