Remembering Philadelphia Eagles Legend Chuck Bednarik: the Hit on Frank Gifford

Football fans, especially those of the Philadelphia Eagles, lost a legend Saturday when Chuck Bednarik passed away. The Hall of Famer was 89 years old. One of the last players to play both ways he was known for being a tough guy for the Eagles while playing linebacker and center for the team from 1949-62.

In his honor it seemed appropriate to post a clip of one of his most infamous hits; the one that knocked Frank Gifford out of football for 18 months.
