Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson Wants to Be The First Black Batman

For the most part the superheroes that seem to be made in to movies are all white. On one hand you can say it is because that is how the original characters were written, but on the other there is no reason why movie studios can't change that. They take liberties with movies based off of books or comics all the time.

Recently there was a push online for Donald Glover (Troy from Community) to be the next Spiderman. It appears that the debate on whether or not Glover should get the role has inspired Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russel Wilson to proclaim his interest in another.

He wants to be the first black Batman:

The studio didn't say no, but they did point out in their response that the people  already appear to have him being another superhero.

So--if Russell gets a concussion next season and the doctors ask him who he is on the sideline and he says Batman he may not be lying. He may have just not told everyone he got the part.
