WATCH: Notre Dame's Pat Connaughton Takes Advantage of Louisville Breakdown to Slam One Home

After losing to Syracuse the Fighting Irish really wanted to get back on the right side of the win column Wednesday night, but to do so they had to take down a tough Louisville team. The Cardinals came in to the game having dropped two of their last five. Play their A game and the Fighting Irish would probably go home with a win.

As it turns out their A game was not always necessary like on this play. A breakdown in the Cardinals defense left Pat Connaughton wide open for an easy dunk.

The dunk ended up being one of two shots Connaughton would make on the night (5 points). Demetrius Jackson led the way for Notre Dame with 21 points followed  by Bonzi Colson who had 17 off the bench.

Montrezl Harrell led the way for the Cardinals with 23 points, but didn't get a lot of help from his teammates. Notre Dame won easily 71-59.
