Boston College Wants a Small Fortune for Four Tickets to Notre Dame Game

The Notre Dame-Boston College rivalry is not one of the biggest ones in the world of college football, but as far as fans of the Eagles are concerned it is pretty darn huge. The school knows this and is counting on it to raise a ton of money.

If fans want tickets to the Notre Dame game at Fenway this coming season it is going to cost them quite a bit.

For the game at Fenway Boston College will be considered the away team, and has been allotted 5000 tickets which it will need to sell for the game. The fan base must already be clamoring for tickets to this game or in some way expressed an intense interest in it.Otherwise, how would the University know that it hold fans up for a $25K donation for four tickets to the November 21 game?

To illustrate how steep the price tag is face value on a ticket is $400. Talk about price gouging, right? At least they are not forcing fans to be four tickets if they don't want to:
Of course, for those who can't pony up $25,000, you can try for three tickets in the $10-$24K range or a pair in the $5,000-$9,999 market. These donations would be considered a seat license.
There are also varying allotments for those who have donated over $100K lifetime, those who have donated $100K-plus between 2011-2014 and those who have donated $100K or more this fiscal year alone.
Ouch. If you are a season ticket holder you will be entered in to a raffle for the chance to win two tickets. There will be an allotment  for students as well.

As nice as it would be to give back to ones alma mater that is a lot of money to go watch a football game you will probably lose (and likely get your butt kicked in).
