Cardinals Lose Adam Wainwright for Season Thanks to Fluke Injury
For athletes there is no good way to get injured and knocked out for the season. If it happens you prefer to be in the context of doing your job so at least you went out doing what you do best, but that was not the case for St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright. The Cardinals ace injured his Achilles stumbling out of the batter's box.
Ye, all he did was take a stumble out of the batter's box.
Officially, Wainwright has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, but is expected to miss the rest of the season.
