Dallas Cowboys Defensive Lineman Tyrone Crawford Using Martial Arts to Improve Pass Rushing Skills [VIDEO]

Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford is going in to a contract year this coming season. So in order to insure that the team wants him back he is doing his best to learn from former Cowboys  defensive linemen in order to improve his game.

He's getting in to martial arts to improve his pass rushing skills.

DeMarcus Ware took up martial arts his rookie season who was introduced to the practice by Greg Ellis who picked it up from legendary Cowboys defensive lineman Randy White. In an interview with an AP writer Ware talked about the connection between being a better pass rusher and martial arts:
''Greg Ellis told me, 'You're not going to have this speed forever. But you can have the quickness.' So, one thing I learned when I did have a lot of ability, like Von Miller, was I would actually just beat guys from here,'' Ware said, ''instead of beating them just with athleticism.''
Well--that makes sense.

Crawford and the Cowboys could certainly use some additional quickness getting after quarterbacks next season. In two seasons of play (Crawford missed the 2013 season with an injury) he has only recorded three sacks (all last season). In 2014 the Cowboys ranked 28th in sacks.

Here's Crawford in action:
