Former Detroit Lions WR Titus Young to be Sentenced May 5

At one time former Boise State wide receiver Titus Young appeared to have a promising career ahead of  him with the Detroit Lions. That is, until he decided he didn't have to do what he was supposed to do on the field and went on a bit of a crime spree back in 2013 and again in 2014.

It appears that he will finally be answering for at least one of the crimes he committed.

Young entered a plea of no contest to one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury in a Los Angeles County courtroom. When he was initially arrested on July 9. 2014, he faced charges of one felony battery count with serious bodily injury and four misdemeanor counts of battery on school, park or hospital property.

One misdemeanor was dropped during pre-trial, and for some reason the others are expected to be dropped during sentencing. He stands to get up to three years in prison.
