He ended up leaving the team during the season his junior year for personnel reasons and declared for the 2014 draft. No one took him, but the Packers did give him a shot as an undrafted free agent.

What will make it hard for anyone to give him an honest shot is his off-field baggage. After leaving Oregon he was arrested for cocaine possession and fleeing police. After being pulled over for traffic violations he was arrested for driving under the influence last September as well. Lyerla also claimed he went to Oregon because his family was promised a house and a car (that they never received).
It would actually be a little surprising to see an NFL team give him a shot. With his history of bad decisions there is little reason to believe that he will stay out of trouble. No one wants to invent controversy on to their team.
