San Diego Chargers Safety Eric Weddle Skipping Workouts Over Lack of Contract Talks

When you make the money that guys in the NFL do you would think that the players would be good with just playing and doing their jobs, but no. Just like every other profession in the world they like to feel a little bit of security in their job. So he is doing like any disrespected defensive standout should do. He is not reporting to the team's voluntary workouts this week.

Would it help for him to be out there? Of course. The more the team works together the more cohesive a unit they will be. However, they are all professionals as well. If they haven't been in Weddle's shoes they know that one day they very well could be (and probably will be).

So they understand.
