Apparently only fans at Cubs games in Chicago catch foul balls with their beers, Away from Chicago they take foul balls to the head instead. That's what happened to one fan standing behind home plate (and close enough to the net) with her back turned to the game during Monday night's Cubs-Pirates game.
All kidding aside--that ball hit her hard. They stopped the game for about 20 minutes while she got medical attention and was eventually taken away on a stretcher. Her friend gave a thumbs up before she left, but you know she is going to have one nasty headache in the morning.
