So How Long Till Adrian Peterson Officially Becomes A Hold Out?

The Minnesota Vikings got some good news on Thursday when the NFL announced that their superstar running back, Adrian Peterson, was going to be officially reinstated to the NFL and free to participate in team activities on Friday. The question going forward will be whether he is going to be participating in Vikings OTA's, another teams, or in no OTA's.

It all depends on how hard a game of hardball the team wants to play with him.

Peterson and his agent have made it clear that he wants out of Minnesota. It has nothing to do with the players, coaches, ownership, or fans, but the way he feels he was treated by the front office during and leading up to his suspension. Fans have been hearing about trade rumors for months because of Peterson's displeasure, but until he is actually reinstated all the talk means nothing.

So come Friday when he is officially reinstated will the talks suddenly mean something? According to the team no. Vikings officials have stated they have no desire or interest in trading Peterson. Should he hold out though will they change their minds?

Peterson has not budged off of his stance with the team. He is not happy with the front office and if the team doesn't trad him he wants to be pacified in another way. Peterson is going in to the final three years of his contract and has no money guaranteed. Should the team guarantee a portion of it that may be all that is necessary to make him happy.

Or they could go ahead and trade him. If they do the team is bound to be well compensated for him. Yes, he is old as far as running backs are concerned, but he is also one of the best the NFL has ever seen.

Peterson has been non-committal about attending any activities with the Vikings choosing to say he needs to be reinstated first. Now that he will be it will interesting to see if his displeasure remains all talk or becomes action.
