Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton Graduating From Auburn--But Not Walking

Cam Newton, like many football players these days, decided to skip his last year of college to enter the NFL Draft. Also like many players he has returned to school in the off-season to continue working towards his degree. It appears that he is now done with classes and ready to officially become a graduate of Auburn.

For most this would be a very proud moment; one that people have looked forward to for years and want to enjoy every moment--but not Cam. He's skipping graduation

On one hand you can say that graduation would be nothing compared to some of the events he has gone through in his life already. On the other, there is something about the sense of satisfaction that comes with being handed that piece of paper that calls you a college graduate.

It's kind of nice--which is why he is skipping it.

For him it would be one of many awesome life events, but for many of the others graduating it will be one of the best moments of their lives. He wants it to remain about them and not about that professional football player that happened to be graduating as well.
