Hopefully Mike Glennon Will Learn Jameis Winston's Name But Winston Will Not Learn the Bucs Way

As much as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cold use some young blood it does not appear that everyone is excited to see the incoming rookies like quarterback Jameis Winston. It's understandable. Much like the veterans the rookies come to play, but to do so they will have to take a veteran's job. No one wants to lose their job or see a good friend lose their's to some punk kid.

It doesn't sound like starting center Evan Smith and current quarterback Mike Glennnon are big fans of the former Seminole QB.

That makes sense. The bond between a center and his quarterback is pretty tight so it is understandable for Smith to not like hearing about how Winston is already going to be the starter come Week One next season.

Glennon certainly isn't happy about it and according to Smith refuses to call Winston by name. Instead he just uses the pronoun "he" when he has to talk about his competition.

Smith says he is excited to have Winston on the team, but thinks he needs to sit back and learn before taking over anyone's job. To be more precise he needs to learn the 'Bucs way:'
“We have plenty of leaders on this team, plenty of leaders in this locker room. … We’ve got guys who lead on this team. We’ve got guys who can play football. … [Jameis] has to learn how we do things around here. … You have to fall into the Bucs way. Follow the older guys. Guys have been doing this for a while. We know what to do.”
Learning from the team's leaders is one thing, but as for learning the 'Bucs way' Smith should be praying that Winston does not. The Bucs have not had  a winning record since 2010. They have only been to the post season twice since wining the Super Bowl in 2002 and lost both games.

In Smith's only season as a Buccaneer (last year; he was in Green Bay from 2010-13) the Tampa Bay offense ranked an abysmal 30th in the league.

So screw the 'Bucs way' Jameis. It sucks.
