Jeff Garcia is Back in the NFL--as an Assistant Coach for the St. Louis Rams

Jeff Garcia is one of the many guys that wanted to keep playing at the end of his career, but the NFL had something else in mind. At 43 there were rumors that there may have been some interest in him, but nothing ever panned out. He last played in 2010 for the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League, but was last on a roster in 2011 (Houston Texans).

At the tender age of 45 it looks like he is getting a chance to get back in the NFL, but not as a player.

It appears that he is going to be joining the St. Louis Rams offensive staff.

The Rams have already hired Chris Weinke so it is not clear if Garcia is also going to be coaching the quarterbacks of if he (or Weinke) will be coaching another position.
