Negotiations are ongoing and from the sound of things the two sides are very far apart.

Softy says he has heard that RW is asking to be the highest paid player in the history of football by a large margin. On air now.

So chances are he is not going to get the money he wants.
"There is no indication that the Seahawks are willing to pay Wilson like a top tier QB". -Jason LaCanfora

Rather than go threw all the hassle this off-season Wilson should just tell the Seahawks that he is going to play out the final year of his contract. Sounds crazy, right? What if he gets injured? Well--that is a risk, but if he were to take that route chances are the team is going to have no choice but to pay him big.
Seattle's offense has been good with Marshawn Lynch running the ball and Wilson making the most of the receiving targets he has. However, next season along with Beast Mode he is going to have the best young tight end in the league to throw to along with an extremely talented receiver in rookie Tyler Lockett.
With the weapons he has at his disposal now the Seattle passing attack could very well become one of the most potent ones in the league. Combine it with Marshawn Lynch being himself, and one of the top defenses in the league and we could see the Seahawks in the Super Bowl yet again.
At that point, if the Seahawks don't make Russell Wilson Scrooge McDuck rich they are nuts.
