One of the many issues the Atlanta Falcons had last season was the lack of a running game. The team had hoped Steven Jackson would provide it, but the old workhorse was not up to the challenge. So going in to the 2015 season the team is going to be in a rather unusual position. No one on the roster has much actual game experience.
As a result, the door is wide open for third round pick Tevin Coleman to get the nod.

Devonta Freeman is a little on the small side and better suited as a change of pace and/or third down back. Antone Smith has home run potential whenever he gets his hands on the ball, but for some reason he has yet to see much action with just 29 carries for 286 yards in five seasons.
Coleman is not exactly a big back either standing just 5'11" and weighing around 206 pounds. However, after gaining 2036 yards on 270 carries for Indiana last season the hope is that he can use his breakaway speed and shiftiness to keep from getting pounded.
If he can do the same during the preseason he may very well be the gem on many fantasy football teams.
