Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt is living the life. I'm not much for hero worship or anything like that, but in light of what was recently shared in an ESPN story about the big man I am not ashamed to say I am envious of that man. It has nothing to do with his job, his contract, or the fact that millions of people absolutely adore him.
It's the bacon.
Back in February he realized he didn't have the energy his 6'6" 290 pound body needed to complete its workouts properly. He needed more fuel. Among some of the many things he was told to do was eat bacon.
Lots of it.
The exact details of his meal plan are still a secret, but bacon has become a staple of it; bacon and avocados. It is not uncommon for him to have eight chicken breast in a meal. If he does three of them are now wrapped in bacon.
His intake varies between 6000-9000 calories a day. To hit the 9000 mark he would need to eat 50 slices of bacon (50!!!), 20 chicken breasts and 13 whole avocados.
