After a disastrous rookie season he is not the center of attention anymore, and Johnny Manziel could not be happier. Without every eyeball staring at him now he can concentrate on just doing what he does best--play football. After spending time in rehab to get his head straight maybe now fans will see the kid that the nation (or at least the state of Texas) fell in love with during his rookie season at Texas A&M.
After Thursday night's game, if he was still the old Johnny he would send the Redskins defense a thank you card with some champagne for totally over running the pocket on this play and giving an agile, speedy quarterback like him the last thing you should--open field.
But this is the new Johnny so that will not happen. True to his word, the money sign has been retired.
