In years past this kind of play may not have happened. For many years the Chicago Cubs have not had that edge; that special something that drives them to do whatever it takes to make any and every play. This season they have it as they fight to make to do what it takes to qualify for one of the wild card spots.
Anthony Rizzo proved just that Wednesday night when he climbed the tarp rolled up on the side of the field in order to reach in to the crowd to make this out.
The Cubs went on to win 3-2 in extra innings (10). They hold one of the National League wildcard spots and lead the nearest competitor by 4.5 games.
