LSU Wide Receiver Travin Dural Helped Rescue Woman From Overturned SUV

Football players are often referred to as heroes because of what they do on game days. Chances are there are some who have talked about LSU wide receiver Travin Dural in that light before. As it turns out, he is actually a lot more than just a gridiron here.

He is a real-life hero.

Around 10 PM on July 30 Dural and his cousin, Southern receiver Randall Menard, were leaving home when they saw an overturned SUV in the ditch. The two turned their car around to see what they could do. Both front doors were jammed, and the side door on the driver's side was jammed up against the side all of the trench.

The driver was hanging upside down unable to reach any of the doors. The two young men muscled open the rear passenger door, and pulled the woman to safety. Police arrived as they pulled her out.
“It was a good thing we turned around. I’m glad we got a chance to help this lady out,” Dural said. “There were no cars on the street. I don’t know when the next time somebody was going to come by.”
It's nice to hear about college football players going above and beyond the call of duty. Well done gentlemen. Well done indeed.
