Oakland actually has one of the top ten offenses in the league led by one of nine quarterbacks in the league with a rating over 100. For the first time in 27 games they are actually going to be favored on the road this week.
To be fair, they are going to Chicago and will likely play a team led by Jimmie Clausen. There is a chance Jay Cutler may play, but since the fire sale began this week with the departures of Jon Bostic and Jared Allen the Bears may want to make sure the highly paid Cutler doesn't return till he is healthy enough to play.
They are only favored by three points against a terrible Bears team so that may say something about the squad too. While the team is better than it has been in years, there is still a lot of room for improvement--which just means they are going to be even more fun to watch in the years to come.
Its like opening a good 15 year old Single Malt Scotch, I'm going to enjoy while it last.
ReplyDeleteCarr, Cooper, and Murray are the youngest trio to be this effective in the history of the NFL, which means this offense is going to be good for a very long time. It's a great time to be a Raiders fan.
