Gainesville PD Tweets Offer To Stop Tennessee Buses If Tweet Gets 1000 Retweets

The Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers kicked off Saturday afternoon on time, but if you follow the action on Twitter there may have been a moment or two where you would have wondered if the game would get started on time. Why?

Well--for some crazy reason whoever was in charge of the Gainesville Police Department twitter account said they would pull the Tennessee buses over if a tweet was retweeted 1000 times.

1,000 retweets and we will stop the Tennessee buses in traffic 😁

They didn't end up doing it, but not because they were bluffing (if you believe what you see online):

It is hard to imagine that Gainesville PD officials would have been okay with officers following through with the above tweet. Even if they never did intend on doing it, the guy who sent it is probably getting his behind chewed out just a little bit for making a mockery of the department.
