WATCH: Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel Knocked Out After Taking Nasty Blow To The Head Against Memphis

Cincinnati Bearcats fans had a real scary moment during Thursday night's game against Memphis. Quarterback Gunner Kiel was scrambling and after gaining a few yards was about to make his slide when he was hit pretty hard by Memphis cornerback Chauncey Lanier in the head.

Kiel appeared to be knocked out for a few moments and spent several minutes on the turf before being taken back to the locker room.

It looked pretty bad, and initially the play did draw a flag for targeting, but was eventually waived off after the refs determined he was not a defenseless runner at the time of the hit.

As it turns out, he is going to be okay:

After a hit like he took that is certainly good news.
