Dallas Cowboys Need Sean Lee To Keep Kicking *ss And Taking Names (if they are going to win)

The Dallas Cowboys were happy to get Sean Lee back this year, and not just because Rolando McClain is serving a four-game suspension to start the season. McClain was brought in to help deal with the loss of Lee last season after he went down with an injury during training camp. Lee was a beast before he went down, and so far it looks like he is a beast yet again.

Should he be able to keep it up, not only will the Cowboys win games, but he will become a shoe in for Comeback Player of the Year.

Lee has turned in two great games during his comeback, Against the Giants he led the team with nine tackles (seven solo) including one for a loss. Last week against the Eagles he had 14 tackles (nine for a loss), two for a loss, two passes defensed, and a clutch interception in the end zone.

Now that Romo is out the team is going to need him to continue his dominant form of play. The running game has yet to really develop, and they certainly don't want to trust the game to Brandon Weeden.

The Cowboys are going to need to win games with their defense going forward. If that is going to happen Lee needs to continue playing like he has been. That is not to say that he makes the defense, but he does lead it.

Teams tend to respond to the play of their leaders--which Lee certainly is. If he and that defense can play like they did against Philadelphia every week the rest of the NFL better look out--no matter who is at quarterback!
