City Of St. Louis Admitting Fault By Covering Concrete Surrounding Field Prior To Bear's Game?

If you ask Reggie Bush, what the people in charge of the Edward James Dome--home of the St. Louis Rams--are planning on doing is great, but a little too late. It appears that they are planning on covering the concrete surrounding the field before the next game. So great for the Chicago Bears,  but it certainly doesn't do him and his jacked up knee any good.

Or does it...

Rams head coach Jeff Fisher shared the news Tuesday with the media:

The move is likely in response to the lawsuit Reggie Bush said he is filing (or has filed) after he slipped on the concrete, tore a ligament in his knee, and saw his season ended prematurely. How much he is suing for has not been made public, but for a guy on a one-year deal trying to prove his worth he could have a pretty good argument for more than just pain and suffering.

He needed this season to prove to the NFL that he can still play. So far he had not done much for the lackluster 49ers, but with Carlos Hyde injured he would have finally gotten a good number of carries. Instead, he is going to become a free agent at the end of the season two years removed from the last time he was considered productive.

So--how does the stadium doing something about the concrete now help him? His lawyer will probably argue that by covering the area now the city (who operates the stadium and who he is suing) basically admits that they were negligent in not having it covered before.

Will it be enough to win his case? Probably not, but the case will certainly be interesting to follow.
