We now know how bad the beating was.

The team announced Tuesday afternoon that Andrew Luck had suffered a lacerated kidney and a torn abdominal muscle during the Broncos game. Somehow they pinpointed the time the injury occurred, and it was during a late fourth quarter play where he scrambled for a nice gain, but got whacked by Danny Trevathan:

As a result he will be out anywhere from 2-6 weeks. That means the fate of the Colts season is going to be in the hands of Matt Hasselbeck, but should he take care of business they could get Luck back in time for a post season run.
