Jeff Van Gundy Draws Absurd Connection Between Mavericks Fans Booing DeAndre Jordan And Cheering For Greg Hardy [VIDEO]

DeAndre Jordan played in Dallas for the first time since he spurned the team at the last minute, and decided to resign with the Clippers. So when he was introduced prior to the game he was given the kind of treatment you would expect from the home crowd--they booed and they booed loud. As fans of the Mavericks that is their right.

For some crazy reason ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gundy thinks they are being ridiculous and his reasoning has nothing to do with basketball.

In Van Gundy's mind they have no business booing someone for changing his mind. and cheering for Greg Hardy on Sundays:

So Jordan has the right to choose where he wants to play and the fans do not have the right to boo him because some guy on another team playing another sport is a jerk? That has to be the dumbest thing Van Gundy has ever said.

Hardy has nothing to do with the Mavericks. Jordan has nothing to do with the Cowboys. Fans are allowed to do what they want as it pertains to players on their team and the opposing team. If they cross the line they suffer the consequences. Just like it is Jordan's right to change his mind it is the fans' right to boo him for it.

Whether or not they cheer when Greg Hardy makes a play has no correlation with how they feel for some basketball player. Trying to draw a  connection between the two is just ridiculous and reeally kind of stupid

Stick to basketball Van Gundy.
