Manny Pacquiao Announces Next Fight

It's been a tough year for the Pac-Man, but it looks like he is finally ready to get back on the horse again. The man formerly considered the best pound for pound boxer in the world, Manny Pacquiao, has announced the details of his next fight.

Please help me win this time!!!
Manny will take on Brandon Rios in a 12-round welterweight bout at The Venetian in Macau, China, on November 24 (Nov 23 in the United States; International Date Line and all).

Since he was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez the talk has been that he would look to go overseas for his next fight in order to catch some tax breaks. It doesn't help that while Americans love a comeback story they are not as willing to dish out big bucks to watch it live.

However, Manny is still wildly popular in Asia and the promoters will likely not have any trouble getting top dollar in Macau.

U.S. fans will still be able to get the fight on HBO pay-per-view of course, but if you really want to save a few bucks then figure out how to bounce a signal from China over to hear. The fight is going to be streamed online there for about $5-6.

There had been a lot of talk about a possible fifth fight between Manny and Marquez, but apparently Marquez wasn't interested.

Word is that Rios should be an entertaining fighter to watch; not much of a dancer, but more of a straight on ready to fight kind of guy.
"Rios isn't going to get in there and dance around and run around," Michael Koncz (an advisor of Manny's) said. "He's going to come to fight. He'll move straight forward and try to brawl with Manny, and that's the kind of fight that will be very entertaining for the fans..."
On paper Rios looks like the real deal. The 27-year old from Lubbock, Texas, has had 33 professional fights. Of those he won 31--23 by knockout--, lost one, and has one draw to his name. The loss was in his last fight (March 30, 2013) by decision to Mike Alvarado whom he had beaten his last time out by TKO.
