Manu Ginobili Sinks the Three in Double OT to Give Spurs Win in Game One of Semifinal Series with Warriors

If you stayed up late Monday night you got to see some incredible basketball. San Antonio went on an 18-3 run at the end of regulation in order to force overtime. The Spurs and Golden State Warriors remained tied after one OT period. With time winding down and the team down by one, Manu Ginobili found himself wide open for a three-point shot.

And with 1.2 seconds left he sunk the game winning dagger!

It was almost dumb luck that Ginobili was left as open as he was; either that or maybe the Warriors were not worried about the ice cold shooter (1-8 from three-point range and 4-19 overall prior to that shot). I can't imagine that they would leave a clutch veteran open though.

Which would then make it a blown assignment or two; also not a good option for the Warriors.

Golden State will get to try again on Wednesday to end an epic losing streak in San Antonio. The last time the Warriors won a game in San Antonio was February 4, 1997--when Tim Duncan was still in college.
