Adam 'Pacman' Jones Arrested for Slapping Woman at a Bar

At first glance this story makes it appear as if the old 'Pacman' persona has reemerged and was back to its old tricks. However, the reality of the situation--at least according to Adam Jones's agent--is that Jones was the victim and not the aggressor.

According to his agent, Jones was hanging out at a bar after a Reds game last week when a pair of intoxicated women approached him and asked him for a picture. He declined and one threw a bottle at him hitting him in the head. So he then turned and slapped her and said: "What are you doing? Stop it!"

Supposedly witnesses are backing up Jones so this one should go away without causing him any further problems.

Jones has a long history of acting out especially in bars. It was enough of a concern in Dallas that the Cowboys had a companion/security guard assigned to him to help keep him out of trouble. That is, until Jones assaulted him.

After being forced to Canada in order to keep playing football Jones has appeared to resurrect his NFL career--and to a small degree his image--with the Cincinnati Bengals where he has become an important part of their defense.
