Friday night one of San Francisco's favorite sons, 49ers quarterback Colin Kapernick threw out the first pitch prior to the Giants/Marlins game. Much like his fellow west coast rising star, Russell Wilson, the man had some serious heat behind his fastball.
According to the broadcast team and the 49ers Kaepernick's pitch was a clocked at 87 miles per hour! His windup is a little stunted, but we already know it doesn't take much for him to put some mustard on a football. Might as well be the same for a baseball!
