Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has taken the college football world by storm this season. His play has the Seminoles ranked No. 3 in the nation, himself a front runner for the Heisman trophy, and all eyes looking and waiting to see what sort of magic he will pull of next.
With a big game coming up this weekend with in-state rival Miami he is getting the media attention you would expect, but may have inadvertently given the Hurricanes a little bulletin board material to keep them focused and motivated this week.

In a recent press conference Winston referred to Miami as the 'little brother' to his team. Watch the clip and I think you'll agree with me when I say he didn't mean it in a malicious manner; it was just something he said. However, no one like to be talked about in that manner; not even actual little brothers.
So it would not be shocking if Miami is not too happy with Famous Jameis right about now:
This game is an unusual one in that the Hurricanes--even thought they are ranked No. 7--are 21-point underdogs. It's unheard of for a point spread between two top 10 teams to be that big, but Miami has struggled and FSU has been a role.
Something like this might give the Hurricanes the boost they needed to get back on track.
He did NOT call Miami the "little brother" in fact he said the opposite. Nice attempt at stirring something up though :)

DeleteUmm...did you hear that right? He obviously spoke of Miami possibly wanting to be the "big brother"...he just said "we want to beat our brother"...."if they want to be the big brother, we want to be the little brother". At least that's what I heard. Regardless, this is one of the best rivalries in college football and as an FSU fan, I'm nervous. Two good teams...but, GO NOLES!
