Miami Narrowly Avoids Upset for Second Week in a Row

The Miami Hurricanes got some good news early in the week when the whole NCAA investigation finally came to an end. If you didn't know the sanction were light and watched the game today you would have thought they got slammed.

For the second week in a row the Hurricanes struggled once again and needed some late game heroics to pull out the win. The game ending interception you see above is what iced it for Miami, but it took some gutsy, hard nosed running by running back Duke Johnson to put the team in contention and eventually ahead.

Miami thought they had the go-ahead touchdown here, but the referee saw it differently.

No big deal though. Johnson took  it over for the touchdown on the next play.

Head Coach Al Golden will need to figure out what is going on with his team pretty quick. His team was able to escape against two lesser teams with some lackluster play, but with a showdown against Florida State next week the Hurricanes need to bring their 'A' game.

Not their B minus one.
