WATCH: 1988 Jamaican Bobsled Team's Final Run and Crash That Inspired Disney Movie Cool Runnings

The sports world will soon be focused on Sochi when the 2014 Winter Olympics kick off. From February 7-23 some of the best athletes from around the world will gather in Russia to compete for the right to be called the best in the world.

As the opening ceremony draws near it seems only fitting to remember some of the stories from years past that touched and inspired us--like the 1988 Jamaican Bobsled Team.

Their story inspired the hit Disney movie Cool Runnings. Years later the ending--where the team crashes and than carries their sled across the finish line--still makes grown men cry.
