Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen is Going to Have Some Serious Competition in Kyler Murray

Kyle Allen made a pretty good impression on the coaching staff and fans everywhere when he led the team to an upset win over Auburn. The Missouri game did not go as well, but he still has two games to make a lasting impression on the coaching staff going in to the off-season, the LSU game Thanksgiving night and whatever bowl game the Aggies get invited to.

He better make it a good impression too, because if he doesn't Kyler Murray will be more than happy to turn heads his way.

High school football is on a completely different plain from the college game of course, but the stats that Murray has been throwing up over the course of his career are mind-boggling to say the least. Heading in to Allen's next game against DeSoto Murray is undefeated as a starter (37 wins) with two state titles to his name.

What's even more impressive is how he's done it. Murray has been the definition of a dual threat quarterback with over 9000 yards passing and 101 touchdowns through the air to his name along with 3544 yards and 62 touchdowns on the ground.

His career completion percentage is pretty impressive as well (64) especially when you consider he averages 16.5 yards a completion.

Yeah, it's just high school, but still--damn.

When he does arrive in College Station it will be interesting to see how quickly people try to compare him to another famous dual threat Aggie, but hopefully folks will let him develop in to who he is supposed to be and not another version of that other guy (you know--JFF).
