It Must be the Shoes for Russell Westbrook!

Russell Westbrook had a stellar night for the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday night when they opened their best of seven series with a familiar foe, James Harden and the Houston Rockets. The young guard was just two boards short of a triple-double (19 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds).

If his talent was not already evidence enough that he was (is) capable of games like this, well--it must have been the shoes!

Westbrook got a couple pair of the new Jordan XX8s for the playoffs, and they clearly helped against the Rockets. He and the rest of the Thunder (yeah, I guess that Kevin Durant guys had a pretty good game) easily took out the visiting Houston Rockets 120-91.

Between Westbrook, Durant, Serge Ibaka and former Rocket Kevin Martin the Thunder seemed to almost score at will on the Houston defense. Houston in turn had a bit of trouble putting points on the board shooting just 36 percent from the floor, but more importantly for the Rockets just 22 percent from behind the arc (8-36)..

Should that continue for the Rockets then this guy might have a point.
