Patriots Chandler Jones Loses Bet with Zoltan Mesko Over Syracuse/Michigan Game

Michigan is returning to the national finals for the first time since the days of the Fab Five circa 1993. Trey Burke didn't exactly look like a Player of the Year winner, but that's why the game is a team sport, right?

Anyway...across the nation Syracuse fans are likely having to pay up with whatever bets they made with their Michigan friends--like Patriots defensive lineman Chandler Jones and punter Zoltan Mesko.

Jones, a former Syracuse star, had a bet with Mesko who used to punt for the Wolverines.

Interesting side note--when you type in Zoltan Mesko to Wikipedia you get a guy known for being a Hungarian Nazi first. Gee, Zoltan, I hope your folks didn't name you after him...

Anyway...since the Orange lost Jones has to have the Michigan friendly avatar you see above on his Twitter account (I don't know for how long).

While doing so has to irk the proud former Syracuse player, what has to irk him the most is that he lost to a gut that willfully posted this picture online.

No bets. No gun to his head. No threats of any sort.
